At one time I would agree with you. But since the time Barry Wiseman gave up the publication it seemed to go down hill. I can't put one specific reason but it didn't seem to be the same. Twice I subscribed and both times I let it lapse.
The thing is there is no other publication geared to this part of the hobby. QST haha.. CQ nope... etc..

QST is a great publication for AM enthusiasts, so long as you are looking at the right year. Go back 70 years and there is a lot of great information. The writing was better then, too. I found the entire 1952 volume at a hamfest for the princely sum of $6 for all 12 issues. I read them over last year instead of the MFJ catalogue the league calls a magazine now, and enjoyed it so much that I bought the 1953 volume so I could do it again this year.
I am talking today not before the wheel lol. Now qst just has "radio sport" and how to be a good appliance operator. 🙂 I think for general ham type magazine CQ would be my route. Lets face it we are a small community here. This is another reason AMers should promote and stick together.
